We Have A Patriarch



His Beatitude Bechara Peter Rai.

The Synod of Bishops in Lebanon have elected a new Patriarch of the Maronite Church the morning of March 15, 2011. The 77th Patriarch is His Beatitude Bechara Peter Rai, who was the Bishop of Jbeil (Byblos). 
“The Glory of Lebanon is given to Him.”

We will accompany Patriarch Peter Rai in prayers, and we are grateful as well to His Beatitude  Nasrallah Peter Cardinal Sfeir who served the Church for the last 25 years as Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.
