Maronite Faith Formation-New Bedford

Teen Movie Night - MYO

We held a movie night at the Mother of the Light convent for the teens of Our Lady of Purgatory parish, New Bedford on Friday April 26. Our next MYO gathering is May 17.  

Nurturing the Faith - Fall River MA

On Sunday April 20 we presented a catechesis on the gift of faith to grades four to eight at the Maronite Faith Formation group of St. Anthony of the Desert, Fall River. In our time together, we focused on the gift of faith given at Baptism, the Creed (summary of our Catholic beliefs and profession in God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and practical ways in growing the faith.

We encouraged the children to develop their faith and relationship with Jesus through spending more time in prayer (talking and listening to God), praying a decade of the Rosary with the family, watching or reading the lives of the saints,  and doing good and loving deeds, especially to those who are in need. 

The women’s guild of St. Anthony of the Desert Church in Fall River invited us to give a presentation on Monday April 21.  Mother Marla Marie gave an inspiring reflection on Faith in light of the Resurrection.

Ramsho & Supper

On Sunday April 14, we had the beautiful choir of St. Anthony of the Desert Church in Fall River attend our monthly Ramsho & Supper gathering, among other guests and friends from the Brockton and Boston parishes.

We have these monthly prayer gatherings to share the beauty and richness of our Maronite prayers, and to reach out to our community in joyful fellowship.

Our next Ramsho and Supper evenings are May 19 and June 9 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. If interested in attending please call (508) 996-1753 or email sister@maroniteservants.org  to RSVP by the Friday before the Sunday gathering.
